Phyllis Jean Morrison 84 of Mechanicsburg passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Golden Living Center, Camp Hill. Born August 26, 1927 in Fairview, WV, she was the daughter of the late Burley J. and Mary (Mitchell) Toothman.
Phyllis retired in 1984 after her dedicated service in the local banking communities. She was a member of Country & Town Baptist Church, Mechanicsburg, the Red Hat Society and Range End Country Club. She enjoyed reading, watching the Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Redskins and was an avid golfer.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years Harvey L. Morrison. Surviving are her son Donald Morrison of Mechanicsburg, a daughter Diane Shearer of Enola, a brother David Toothman of Front Royal, VA, a sister Connie Rudacille of Reston, VA as well as 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Malpezzi Funeral Home Mechanicsburg. Burial will take place at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Jean may be made to the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, 344 North Reading Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
