Elizabeth “Liz” A. Clabaugh, 73 of Mechanicsburg passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 surrounded by her family at home. Born December 11, 1938 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late George and Pauline Davis.
Liz retired from Highmark Blue Shield after 30 plus years of dedicated service. She attended Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Dillsburg and its Bible Study class. Liz was very involved with those suffering from spinal cord injuries. She was an employee with Fox Subacute Care in Mechanicsburg and was an active participant with the Christopher Reeve Foundation always trying to increase awareness and support for those with spinal cord injuries.
Liz was a loving, devoted and caring wife and mother. She is survived by her husband Edward J. Clabaugh of Mechanicsburg, a daughter Molly Hoch and husband Wesley, two sons Edward J. Clabaugh, Jr. all of Dillsburg, and Joseph N. Best of Wyoming, a brother George A. Davis, Jr. of Dillsburg as well as her cats Abby and Annie.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg with viewing held from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. Burial will take place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
