Martha M. Gibney, age 91, of Messiah Village and formerly of Camp Hill, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Select Specialty Care with her friends and family at her side. Born August 17, 1920 in Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Emma Jane (Kitner) Findley.
She was a former employee of Klair’s 5 & 10, Mechanicsburg and the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot and for many years Martha operated a beauty shop out of her home on Maple Avenue. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star; Order of Amaranth; Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem; Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America and the Merry Widows.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Gibney, brother Charles A. Findley, sisters Verna Krone and Virgie Hosler and a nephew T.K. Hosler.
Surviving are a niece Mary Jane Weaver Blazer of Mechanicsburg , five nephews, Jack Dennis of Carlisle, Charles R. Findley Sr., and Garry L. Hosler both of Mechanicsburg, Curtis D. Hosler Sr. of Hummelstown and Raeden S. Hosler of Harrisburg and numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 9, at Messiah Village Chapel, 100 Mount Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg where there will be a viewing from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Village Endowment Fund, 100 Mount Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
